Assistant Manager – E-commerce Operations
Location: Mumbai (Hiranandani Business Park – Lightbridge, Saki Vihar Rd, Powai)
Experience: 6 - 10 Years
Industry Preference: FMCG / E-commerce
Salary Range: ₹10 - 12 LPA (Can stretch up to ₹14 LPA for exceptional candidates)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager – E-commerce Operations to oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain, order management, and inventory operations for our cosmetics and skincare product categories. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, inventory planning, and order fulfillment, with prior experience handling e-commerce and quick-commerce clients.
The role requires close coordination with internal teams (dispatch, finance, and logistics) and external stakeholders (e-commerce partners, suppliers, and distribution channels) to ensure seamless operations, optimal stock levels, and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain & Inventory Management:
- Oversee the supply planning, replenishment, and inventory optimization to ensure high availability of cosmetics and skincare products across India (both online & offline).
- Maintain a fill rate of over 95% to ensure customer satisfaction and business efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels, optimize replenishment cycles, and minimize stockouts while reducing excess inventory costs.
- Conduct daily/weekly inventory analysis to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Develop forecasting models and demand planning strategies to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
2. E-commerce & Order Management:
- Manage the entire order lifecycle, ensuring each order is processed, dispatched, and delivered within stipulated timelines.
- Implement strategies to reduce Return to Origin (RTO) and improve order fulfillment efficiency.
- Oversee reverse logistics in collaboration with the operations and finance teams, ensuring seamless returns and refunds.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs across all e-commerce platforms and quick-commerce channels.
- Work closely with the dispatch team to ensure on-time deliveries and optimal logistics coordination.
3. Process Optimization & Performance Enhancement:
- Analyze supply chain KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for e-commerce operations.
- Prepare and present monthly S&OP reports with key insights on supply chain performance, inventory levels, and fulfillment efficiency.
- Implement automation tools and digital tracking systems to enhance supply chain visibility.
4. Stakeholder & Team Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, finance, sales, and marketing) to align supply chain strategies with business objectives.
- Serve as a key liaison for external stakeholders, including e-commerce partners, suppliers, and distribution networks.
- Interact with senior leadership teams, providing data-driven insights and operational updates.
- Lead a team, set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide motivation to drive productivity and efficiency.
5. Reporting & MIS Management:
- Prepare and present MIS reports for senior leadership, offering insights on strategic planning, operational performance, and business growth.
- Track key operational and financial metrics, ensuring continuous improvements and cost optimizations.
Skills & Competencies:
✔ Strong Supply Chain & Inventory Management Expertise – Experience in demand forecasting, replenishment planning, and stock optimization.
✔ E-commerce & Quick Commerce Operations – Prior experience handling order fulfillment, logistics, and platform integrations.
✔ Stakeholder & Vendor Management – Ability to work with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and distribution partners.
✔ Data-Driven Decision Making – Strong analytical skills with a focus on KPI tracking and performance improvement.
✔ Process Optimization Mindset – Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process enhancements.
✔ MS Office & G-Suite Proficiency – Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros) and familiarity with ERP/OMS tools.
✔ Team Leadership & People Management – Experience in leading teams, setting targets, and driving performance.
Educational Qualifications:
- Minimum: Graduate in any stream.
- Preferred: MBA in Operations / Supply Chain Management.

- Reports To: Senior Manager – Logistics
